Coxen Hole

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Honduras

We took a taxi into Coxen Hole, Roatan.

It did not feel completely safe.

We didn't see any other tourists there.

Our taxi driver stayed with us the whole time.

With my broken Spanish and her broken English we got along fine.

Rip & Go

Rip and Go.....

Backpacker Magazine introduced me to this term.

It refers to these shorter backpacking trails that are spread out across the country.

Like many people we hit the trail on the weekends.

Two Lakes Loop is located in Southern Indiana.

It is a 15.7 mile trail that encompasses two lakes and is bisected by a connector trail.

It easily becomes a 20+ miler by hiking in a figure eight pattern.

We arrived after 10:00 PM on Friday night.

Adorned with headlamps we made it to camp and were in our bags by midnight.

Our canine companion isn't a "flatlander".

He carries his own gear, food, and water.....

I left my Leica at home.

I carried an Olympus OM-D EM-5 with the Panny 20mm f1.7 v.1.

We were home Sunday early enough to attend a dinner party that evening.

Second Shooting

I had the great privilege of assisting Shaun Frederickson as a second shooter.

I met Shaun at the last street photography workshop.

He is a talented wedding and portrait photographer based out of Indianapolis.

Please check out his website here:

Please follow his Facebook page here:

I'm very honored that he asked me to shoot with him.

I had fun.....

Capturing a wedding is very much like shooting street......

Anticipate shots ahead of time.....

Meter and focus.....

Don't miss the decisive moment.....

All images captured with......
 Leica M9 with a 50mm Summicron v4.....
Olympus OM-D EM-5 with the Zuiko 45mm f1.8 and Panny 20mm f1.7 v1 primes......

Friday Night

We celebrated a friend's birthday late on Friday evening.

I've been missing the process of shooting film.....

I set my Leica to capture color JPEGs.

I promised myself I wouldn't process any of the files.

We had a great evening.....
